LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its winter and spring Academic Honor Rolls, and 59 members of Austin College athletics teams were among those to earn the distinction. To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.
From men's basketball, honorees include JP Feider, Josh Garrett, Josh Quinn, and Quinten Tabor, while women's basketball players Jessica Atwell, Reagan Chiaverini, Caitlyn Collins, Sierra Force, Mikayla Gascich, Meghan Lewis, Ally Longaker, Kendra Rainey, Ann Savage, Andrea Selkow, Addison Walling, and Melecia Young also earned a spot on the Academic Honor Roll.
Men's swimmers Colton Baker, Chris Brown, Nic Cappellini, Jason Chen, Zach Magers, and Collin Vu were honored, as were women's swimmers Mary Cheadle, Sarah Edzards, Sophie Garriga, Mandi Sarembock, Matea Stanisic, Katherine Tuttle, Katie Voelkel.
The spring Academic Honor Roll included Austin College baseball players Trevor Anderson, Josh Boring, Ryan Culp, Max Dodd, Austin Dudley, Jacob Flores, Nick Flynn, Oscar Gonzalez, Collin Maynard, Will Newsom, Brett Taff, Jake Tidwell, and James Wyche.
Men's tennis players Travis Fortune, Josh Granberry, Kenneth Hardy, Siddharth Kortikere, Preston Spivey, and Bryan Walmsley were also recognized, as were women's tennis players Diana Carvajalino, Melody Duong, Brenna McCown, Georgia Moore, Chandler Morris, Grace Ortiz, Katie Seibert, and Anna Sergiovanni.
Women's distance track runners Victoria Dodd, Eden Llamas, and Alex Quinn round out Austin College's SCAC Academic Honor Roll members for 2018.
