62 Named to SCAC Fall Academic Honor Roll
An Austin College fall semester record 62 student-athletes have been named to the SCAC Fall Academic Honor Roll, the league office has announced.
The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its Fall Academic Honor Roll, and 62 members of the Kangaroo football, volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, and women’s cross country teams were named to the list. That is the second highest total of all SCAC members for the fall semester, and the highest total for Austin College in the fall semester since joining the conference in 2006.
Student-athletes who maintained a grade point average of 3.25 or higher in their semester of competition are named to the SCAC Honor Roll, and this year eight members of the women’s cross country team, 23 members of the football team, seven members of the men’s soccer team, 12 members of the women’s soccer team, and 12 members of the volleyball team met those academic standards.
Football players named to the fall Academic Honor Roll were Broc Boyd, Nick Chrestopoulos, Ryne Cozby, Logan Estes, PJ Fuller, Rizwan Gangwani, Russell, Gentry, Clayton Harrison, Colt Henderson, Cody Kovach, Gabe McCarthy, Scotty McCollum, Bradley Oh, Nathan Packard, Madison Parkhill, Jake Price, Austin Rainer, James Roh, Reid Rose, Madison Ross, Tim Smith, David Van Amburgh, and Brett H. Vaughn.
Volleyball players named to the Academic Honor Roll were Ally Ahlberg, Maddy Brinkley, Shelby Eaves, Rachel Fusselman, Nita Kavouspour, Kelly McDaniel, Laura Perez, Alyssa Pruett, Adrienne Reynolds, Molly Salman, Erika Valek, and Aley Zachary.
Men’s soccer players named to the Academic Honor Roll were Memo Allande, Abraham Araujo, Mitchell Camp, Kyle Davis, Andy Johnson, Caleb Sherer, and Caleb Walters.
Women’s soccer players named to the Academic Honor Roll were Hannah Cleveland, Ariel Marder, Dominique Martinez, Camille Mavelian, Maddy Millender, Natalie Nelms, Hannah Poenisch, Sydney Redding, Leah Reznicek, Abby Saizow, Lauren Scott, and Amanda Sherwood.
Women’s cross country runners named to the Academic Honor Roll were Jessica Carlson, Megan Daugherty, Ashley Fitzpatrick, Suzanne Francis, Christine Garner, Carina Parikh, Rachel Ramos, and Amy Sims.
Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
