The Austin College Athletics Alumni Board is set to put on “A” Run for ‘Roos, a 5K and Fun Run that will be taking place on May 10. The run will be held at Myers Park in McKinney.
Registration for “A” Run for ‘Roos is now open, with the 1-mile Fun Run taking place at 8:00 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, May 10 while the 5K run/walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. Age groups include 12 and under, 13-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and over, with cash prizes given to the overall male and female winners and medals given to the top five male and female contestants in each age group.
The cost to sign up is $30 for early registration for the 5K, with early registration ending on March 31 at 11:59 p.m. Anyone who wishes to sign up after that time will have an entry fee of $40. For the 1-mile Fun Run, registration is $15, and for a 5K team of 10 people or more, the cost is $20 per person. Registration ends on Thursday, May 8 at 11:59 p.m.
All proceeds for this event will go to a gift toward development of all athletics programs in the Austin College athletics department. You can register online for the "A" Run for 'Roos.
