Davis Resigns as 'Roo Softball Coach
Jackie Davis has resigned her position as head softball coach at Austin College to take a position as head softball coach, assistant athletics director and Senior Women's Administrator at Suffolk University.
Jackie Davis has resigned her position as head softball coach at Austin College to take a position as the head softball coach, assistant athletics director and Senior Women's Administrator at Suffolk University, the college has announced.
"We appreciate Jackie's leadership of the softball program as the head coach," said athletics director David Norman. "She was instrumental in taking our program back to the postseason, and we wish her well in her future endeavors."
Davis guided the 'Roos to their second ever Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament berth in 2012, as the team earned the No. 3-seed in the SCAC West Division. Davis previously served as an assistant coach at Suffolk from 2007 through 2009.
Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
