'Roo Softball Ready for SCAC Tournament

The Austin College softball team heads to Irving this weekend to take part in the 2013 SCAC Championship, where they take on host school University of Dallas in the first round on Friday. The 'Roos and Crusaders will play at noon.

The 'Roos earned the No. 4-seed after going 9-28 overall, including 6-9 in conference play. The Crusaders went 5-29 overall and 0-16 in conference play and are the No. 5-seed. Austin College swept their four game series against UD this past weekend, winning the four games by a combined score of 44-7.

The winner of that game advances to take on top-seeded Trinity University at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the loser takes on the loser of the game between No. 2-seed Southwestern and No. 3-seed Centenary at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
