Three from Women's Soccer Named SCAC All-Tournament
Austin College women's soccer players Ariel Marder, Sydney Redding, and Kelsey D'Amore have been named to the SCAC All-Tournament Team.
Three members of the Austin College women's soccer team have been named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team, the league office has announced. Ariel Marder, Sydney Redding, and Kelsey D'Amore all received this recognition from the conference coaches.
Marder, a senior midfielder from Plano, assisted on both goals in the team's 2-0 first round victory over Centenary College on Friday. Marder also tied for the team lead with five shot attempts in the team's two games.
Redding, a sophomore midfielder from Waco, tallied the team's second goal against Centenary and tied Marder with five shot attempts over the course of the weekend.
D'Amore, a senior defender from Plano, started both games and was the anchor of the 'Roo defense that kept a clean sheet in the first round match against Centenary.
Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
