'Roo Volleyball Set for SCAC Tournament

The Austin College volleyball team is on its way to Colorado Springs for the 2012 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament beginning on Friday, with the 'Roos set to take on the University of Dallas at 11:30 a.m. MST in the opening round. The 'Roos are the No. 4-seed, while the Crusaders are the No. 5-seed.

The 'Roos are led by All-SCAC performers Adrienne Reynolds, Shelby Eaves, and Kelly McDaniel, and defeated UD both times the teams squared off this season. On October 6 the 'Roos topped the Crusaders 3-0 at home, and defeated UD 3-2 two weeks later on October 20 in San Antonio. The winner of tomorrow's match takes on top-seeded Colorado College at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow in the conference semifinals. The 'Roos split their season series with the Tigers, falling 3-1 on September 22 before defeating CC 3-0 on October 20.
