SEGUIN, Texas - The Austin College women's cross country team had a strong showing at the 2017 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Meet on Saturday, placing fourth behind a 15th place finish from Hannah Richards. The 'Roos were just 12 points off of third place in the meet.
Richards set a new personal best with a time of 23:08, finishing as the top runner outside of first place Trinity and second place Colorado College. That time not only bests her previous personal record by nearly a minute, but also establishes a new 'Roo women's cross country program record. Eden Llamas was right behind Richards in 19th place, coming in with a time of 23:24, which also sets a new personal record by 20 seconds.
Alex Quinn finished 31st with a time of 24:50, yet another personal record, and Bailey Clark shaved more than a minute and a half off of her previous best, finishing with a time of 29:53. Phung Banh finished with a time of 32:07, another personal best.
