Brett Moody set a new Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference record by posting a 0.97 ERA for the 2015 season. The sophomore right hander from Allen, Texas, was terrific all year in eight pitching appearances, seven of which came against SCAC competition.
Moody finished the season with a record of 2-2 while striking out 33 batters against just seven walks, and allowed only six earned runs all season in 55.2 innings of work. Moody threw three complete games in his seven starts on his way to establishing the new record, which breaks the old SCAC mark of 1.13 previously set in 2002.
Moody's numbers were even better in SCAC play, with a 0.94 ERA against conference opponents.
