The Austin College women's swimming and diving team topped McMurry University 80-78 while the men's team fell 147-68 on Saturday in the final tune up for both teams as they prepare for the SCAC Championship Meet.
Dory Johnson and Anne Booker each had first place finishes for the women, with Johnson placing first in the 50 freestyle while Booker took first in the 100 freestyle, and the women earned the team victory with a win in the 200 freestyle relay and the team of Lauren Wheeler, Brette Grieder, Johnson, and Maggie Autry. Autry also gave the 'Roos a second place individual finish in the 200 freestyle.
On the men's side, Erik Gentzel continued his strong freshman campaign with a first place finish in the 100 backstroke.
Next up for the 'Roos is the SCAC Championship beginning on February 13 in Rockwall.
