'Roo Baseball Headed to SCAC Tournament

The Austin College baseball team is headed to Georgetown this weekend for the 2013 SCAC Championship, where they will face host school Southwestern in the opening round on Thursday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

The 'Roos earned the No. 4-seed after going 11-27 overall and 7-12 in conference play, while Southwestern enters the tournament as the No. 5-seed after posting a record of 3-36 overall and 0-19 in the SCAC. The 'Roos went 4-0 against Southwestern this season, with three of those wins coming in Georgetown.

The winner of Thursday night's game will then take on No. 1-seed Centenary at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while the loser plays on Friday at 7:00 p.m. against the loser of the game between No. 2-seed Trinity and No. 3-seed University of Dallas.
