Baker Named NFCA Third Team All-West Region
Austin College softball player Jessica Baker has been named by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as a Third Team All-West Region selection, the organization has announced.
Austin College softball player Jessica Baker has been named by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as a Third Team All-West Region selection, the organization has announced. Baker is one of four Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference players to earn All-Region honors.
Baker, a junior second baseman and utility player from Grapevine, finished second in the conference with a .447 batting average and 17 doubles, and added two home runs and 24 runs batted in. She also finished second in the league with 15 stolen bases and had a .470 on base percentage and .610 slugging percentage. Baker was a First Team All-SCAC selection this season.
Austin College athletic teams participate as a member of the NCAA Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
