Tori Fowler - Softball
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo softball player Tori Fowler.
Fowler, a senior centerfielder from Red Oak, made Austin College softball history earlier this season when she became the program's career stolen base leader. Fowler heads into this weekend's home series against Schreiner with 72 career stolen bases in three seasons as a 'Roo, and she also holds the program's single season record with 28 steals in her first year with the program. Fowler owns a career batting average of .303, collecting more than 100 hits in 109 games played. Fowler has also ranked among the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference leaders in stolen bases in all three of her years in Sherman.
Modern Woodmen of America is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
