'Roo Cheer Takes Third in NCA Game Day Open Division

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -  The Austin College cheer team earned a third-place finish in the Game Day Open Division Finals at the National Cheerleaders Association College Nationals, wrapping up a strong performance on the national stage.

'Roo Cheer Earns Bid to 2025 NCA Nationals

DALLAS, Texas - The Austin College cheer team had an outstanding weekend on the campus of Southern Methodist University, securing a spot at the 2025 NCA Nationals with the program's first ever Silver Bid. By earning their Silver Bid, the 'Roos will not need to qualify for nationals during the season, and instead are now automatically qualified to compete in Daytona Beach next spring.

LeTourneau University Set To Join SCAC In 2025-26

SUWANEE, Ga. – LeTourneau University has accepted an offer of membership into the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) and will become a core member of the league effective the 2025-26 academic year.

DAYTONA, Fla. - The Austin College cheer team is headed to Florida to compete in the NCA & NDA College Nationals this week, with the 'Roos set to perform on Thursday and Friday at the event.

SHERMAN, Texas – Austin College has named Alyssa Freeman the head coach of its new cheer and STUNT program, announced director of athletics David Norman. Freeman most recently served as the head spirit coach at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.
