Blaine Tew, Baseball

Blaine Tew, a senior right handed pitcher from Denison, tossed a gem in a 10-1 win over Schreiner to help the 'Roos take two of three from the Mountaineers over the weekend. 

Tew went the distance, scattering just four hits and allowing a single run in 9.0 innings of work to earn the victory. The senior struck out eight batters, putting together his strongest and most dominant performance of the season to help the 'Roos improve to 5-7 overall in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play and keep the team's hopes alive for earning a postseason berth in the conference tournament.

The 'Roos are currently in fifth place, with the top four teams making the tournament, with six SCAC games remaining on the schedule. They are currently just 1.5 games out of the fourth spot, with a three game series against Dallas coming up this weekend at home.
