Ben Bouchez had a big weekend at Whittier, returning two interceptions for touchdowns. The junior linebacker from McKinney returned his first interception 52 yards for a touchdown, and in the fourth quarter brought back another interception 45 yards for another score in a 55-12 victory over Whittier College.

Bouchez also added three tackles, and so far this season he's accounted for four takeaways for Austin College. Bouchez had two fumble recoveries last week against Southwestern Assemblies of God, helping the 'Roos to an astounding 18 takeaways so far this season. That number tops all of NCAA Division III football. The 'Roos are also No. 1 in the nation in interceptions, thanks in large part to the two picks by Bouchez in the victory against the Poets.

Austin College also leads the nation in defensive touchdowns, with four, two of which have come from Bouchez. Three of those four defensive touchdowns came against Whittier.
