Lane, a junior goalkeeper from Frisco, has gotten her third season in Sherman off to an outstanding start, winning Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week twice in the first four weeks of the season. Lane has earned a pair of shutouts this season, including in a 1-0 road win at Howard Payne University last week. Lane currently ranks third in the conference with 38 saves after leading the SCAC in that department a season ago, and she's also fourth in the conference in save percentage. For her career, Lane has 220 saves with three shutouts while logging more than 2,000 minutes minding the net for the 'Roos.
Modern Woodmen of America is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
