Balderas, a junior placekicker from Azle, earned national recognition for his outstanding performance last weekend against McMurry, being named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week. That honor came on the heels of being named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week following a game in which he went 3-for-3 on field goal attempts, all coming from better than 40 yards. His long on the day was 49 yards, which ties him for the ninth longest field goal in SCAC history. His other makes were from 43 and 44 yards.
