Hulse Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's swimmer Lexy Hulse.
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's swimmer Lexy Hulse.
Hulse, a freshman from Sellersville, Pa., had a big home meet against UT-Permian Basin and McMurry, helping the 'Roos to home victories over both programs. Hulse had two individual first place finishes and helped Austin College secure two first place finishes in relay events. Hulse was part of the 200 medley relay team that took first with a time of 1:57.73, eight seconds faster than the second place team, as well as the 200 free relay team that won with a time of 1:50.23. She also took first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:46.14, as well as the 100 breaststroke, where she touched with a time of 1:10.09. Hulse is also a member of the 'Roo women's water polo team.
