SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo men's swimmer Jack Stack.
Stack, a junior from Concord, Calif., was outstanding in a recent home meet against UT-Permian Basin and McMurry, helping the 'Roos come in second of the three teams with a head-to-head win over Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference foe McMurry. Stack, who was also an All-MPSF performer for the 'Roo men's water polo team, had a pair of first place individual finishes and was the anchor on Austin College's 200 free relay team that took second in the event. Stack secured first place in the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.62, and added a win in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:48.73. He helped the 200 free relay team earn second place points with a time of 1:31.34, coming in just behind the winning team from NCAA Division II opponent UTPB.
Modern Woodmen of America is proud to recognize and support the ongoing achievements of Austin College student-athletes. Their North Texas Region understands that the pursuit of excellence on and off the field creates a foundation for continued excellence after graduation.
