Miller Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's basketball player Avory Miller.
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's basketball player Avory Miller.
Miller, a sophomore from McKinney, has gotten her second year in crimson and gold off to an outstanding start after entering into the starting lineup. The second year guard has started all 12 games for the 'Roos and ranks among the team leaders in nearly all statistical categories, averaging 9.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.6 steals-per-game. Miller currently ranks fifth in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in steals and is tied for sixth in assists, and also ranks ninth in rebounding.
