Dimitri Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo women's water polo player Joslyn Dimitri.

Dimitri, a sophomore utility player from Cour d'Alene, Idaho, got her second season with the 'Roo women's water polo team off to an outstanding start after being named the CWPA Player of the Week, as Austin College faced off against three Division I opponents and one Division II foe. Dimitri scored five goals and drew eight ejections in the four games, after having been named an All-Tournament player at the Division III Final Four to cap off her freshman season. Dimitri has also been a standout competitor for the 'Roo women's swim team this season, and will be competing for the 'Roos throughout this week at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Meet in Garland before continuing her second campaign with the nationally-ranked women's water polo program.
