Vialpando Named Modern Woodmen Student-Athlete of the Week

SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo baseball player Davin Vialpando.

Vialpando, a senior pitcher from Longmont, Colo., has made a major impact on the Austin College athletics department throughout the 2024-25 academic year through his involvement with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Vialpando has served as the co-president of the SAAC as well as one of its representatives within the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference this year, organizing multiple community events for 'Roo student-athletes as well as charity efforts that have included donating to Reba's Ranch House as well as a highly successful canned food drive. Vialpando was recognized for his efforts earlier this year as a SCAC Character & Community Award winner.
