Coleman Named Modern Woodmen Athlete of the Week
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo volleyball player Selah Coleman.
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College athletics is excited to announce the Modern Woodmen of America Student-Athlete of the Week, an award highlighting our great student-athletes on and off the field of play each week. This week's honoree is 'Roo volleyball player Selah Coleman.
Coleman, a senior outside hitter from Houston, had a massive weekend as Austin College went 3-0 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play, earning crucial victories over Texas Lutheran, Concordia, and Schreiner. Coleman averaged 3.17 kills with a .278 hitting percentage, adding 2.75 digs per set and five service aces. Coleman had at least 10 kills in all three matches, with a high of 15 in a big win over TLU to open the weekend. The senior helped the 'Roos stay in second place in the SCAC Blue Division, as Austin College turns its eyes toward the conference tournament in November.
