It's a light week for Austin College athletics as the academic year begins to draw to a close, with both baseball and softball off this weekend while 'Roo men's and women's tennis takes to the court for the final two home matches of the season.
The 'Roo men's and women's tennis teams will be home to host the University of Dallas in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match at 5:30 p.m. at the Jordan Family Courts. Both teams will return to action on Saturday morning for another conference tilt, with the Tigers of Colorado College squaring off against the 'Roos at 9:00 a.m. in the 2026 home finale for Austin College.
While both baseball and softball are off this weekend, the 'Roo baseball team has had a crucial doubleheader rescheduled for Tuesday night at Baker Field. With what's shaping up as one of the most competitive SCAC baseball seasons in recent memory, the 'Roos are in the thick of a battle for a spot in the conference tournament and will host McMurry for two big conference games beginning at 5:30 p.m. Austin College currently sits in sixth place in the conference standings at 13-12, with eight teams in the conference boasting win totals between 11 and 15 wins, including McMurry with 12. This season, six teams will go to the conference tournament. Tuesday's games will also serve as Senior Night for the 'Roo baseball team.
We hope you'll come support your 'Roos in their final home tennis matches this weekend, and for the final two baseball games of the year in a tightly contested race for the conference tournament!
