The 'Roo baseball team has seen its final week of the regular season shift thanks to Mother Nature, with last night's games against McMurry having been canceled due to rain while this weekend's road series at Hendrix moving up a day in an attempt to avoid inclement weather in Conway, Arkansas. The 'Roos will take on Hendrix for a single game on Thursday at 6:00 p.m., and will then wait and see whether they'll be able play on Friday, when the heaviest rain is expected, or complete the series on Saturday with a doubleheader. If the rain holds off, the 'Roos and Warriors will be on the field at 6:00 p.m. on Friday; otherwise, they'll be trying to finish things up at noon on Saturday. Both Austin College and Hendrix are jockeying for a spot in the SCAC Tournament field, with this weekend's series winner most likely securing a spot while the other will see its season come to a close.
The Austin College softball team is home this weekend to finish the 2026 season, with the 'Roos also taking on the Warriors for a three game set here in Sherman. The 'Roos will open things up on Friday evening at Texoma Health Foundation Park in Denison with a single game against Hendrix at 7:00 p.m., followed by a doubleheader beginning at noon on Saturday at Sherman High. The program will be recognizing its seniors on Saturday following the conclusion of the first game of the twinbill, with game two set to begin at approximately 2:30 p.m.
