Bio
Jeff Kelly enters his 22nd year at Austin College in 2026-27, and is a 2003 graduate of Syracuse University. Kelly, a native of Vermont, was named the Director of Athletics Communications in 2016, after having served as the Sports Information Coordinator for the 'Roos since 2005. He has also worked as a member of the CoSIDA U Comittee, which works with college students who aspire to enter the sports information profession in 2018 and 2019. He is currently a member of the CoSIDA Goodwill and Wellness Committee, and has served as the chair of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Sports Information Committee three times. He also serves as the advisor to Austin College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Prior to coming to Austin College he worked as a Sports Information Assistant at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island, and before that worked as a Sports Information Intern at the national office of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics in Kansas City. Kelly is also a published writer, including having had some of his work appear in the New York Times bestselling nonfiction comedy book You Might Be a Zombie and Other Bad News in 2010. He and his wife Sara have a son, Conor. They also have a dog, but that feels less important.
