Michinaux Named SCAC Hitter of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College baseball player Carlos Michinaux has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week after a stellar series against the University of St. Thomas, the league office has announced.

Michinaux, an outfielder from Richmond, had an impressive weekend series against the Celts, batting .600 with a .636 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage as the 'Roos took two of three games from UST. Michinaux hit safely in all three games, including a 3-for-4 performance with a homer in the series opening win, while totaling six hits and six RBI. After his outstanding weekend, Michinaux moved up into the top five in the conference with a .441 batting average on the season.
