'Roo Football Comes Up Short Against TLU

SEGUIN, Texas - Jaylon Talton passed for a career-best 388 yards and five touchdowns and Austin College put up 20 fourth quarter points, but the comeback bid for the 'Roos came up short in a 43-34 defeat on the road at Texas Lutheran University on Saturday afternoon. The 'Roos are now 0-5 overall and 0-3 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.

McMurry Uses Big Second Half to Top 'Roos

SHERMAN, Texas - The Austin College football team trailed preseason Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference-favorite McMurry University just 11-9 at halftime, but the War Hawks put 23 points on the board in the final two quarters to hand the 'Roos a 34-9 defeat on Saturday afternoon at Jerry E. Apple Stadium. The 'Roos are now 0-4 overall and 0-2 in SCAC play with the loss.

2024 Austin College Football Season Preview

SHERMAN, Texas - Year two under head coach Tony Joe White kicks off for the Austin College football team on September 7, and things will be looking a bit different for the 'Roos as they head back to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The conference last sponsored football in 2016, and as the sport relaunches this year, Austin College will be looking to make some noise in this new version of the SCAC.
