Balderas Earns Second SCAC Weekly Honor

SUWANEE, Ga. - For the second straight week, Austin College football player Caleb Balderas has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, the league office has announced.

Balderas, a senior kicker from Azle, only attempted one field goal in Austin College's final game of the season against Centenary, but he came through in the clutch with what proved to be the game-winner. Balderas drilled a 23 yard attempt with six minutes left in the fourth quarter against the Gents, putting Austin College on top 16-14, and the 'Roos would hold on from there. Balderas finishes the year hitting 8-of-10 field goal attempts and 20-of-21 point after attempts.
