Pina-Warren Highlights Men's Hoops All-SCAC
CONWAY, Ark. - Five members of the Austin College men's basketball team were named All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference performers for the 2025-26 season, and Tasshir Pina-Warren was named the SCAC First-Year Player of the Year, the league office announced on Saturday afternoon.

Kidus Getenet was a third team All-SCAC pick, while Pina-Warren, Jordan Hudgins, Ethan Pearce, and Jamien June each earned honorable mention nods. Pina-Warren was also selected to the SCAC All-Freshman Team following his stellar first collegiate season.
Getenet, a senior wing from Allen, led the 'Roos and was among the conference leaders with a regular season scoring average of 16.3 points-per-game while adding 5.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals-per-game. Getenet's scoring and rebounding numbers were career bests, and he earned SCAC Offensive Player of the Week recognition once this season.
Pina-Warren, a first-year guard from North Richland Hills, cleaned up in postseason awards after being named the top first-year player as well as honorable mention All-SCAC and All-Freshman Team. Pina-Warren finished the regular season averaging 13.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 48% from the floor and 32.8% from deep.
Hudgins, a senior forward from Wylie, was an honorable mention pick after finishing among the conference leaders in both rebounding and assists, pulling down a career-high 7.8 boards-per-game during the regular season while also posting a career-best with 3.9 assists-per-game. He also chipped in 5.0 points and 1.0 blocks-per-contest.
Pearce, a senior forward from Meridian, Idaho, was also named honorable mention All-SCAC after being twice named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week this season. Pearce averaged 10.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks-per-game during the regular season, with each of those numbers being a career-best. Pearce also shot 57.3% from the field and added 1.9 assists and 1.4 steals-per-game.
June, a junior guard from Grand Prairie, rounds out the All-SCAC picks as an honorable mention selection following a year in which he was named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week once and averaged 13.5 points, a career-high 4.2 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while knocking down 79.3% of his free throws during the regular season.
