KERRVILLE, Texas - Thomas Quick had his second two-goal game of the season to lead Austin College to a 3-1 road victory at Schreiner on Friday afternoon. The 'Roos are now 7-5-4 overall and 5-4-3 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play.
After 27 scoreless minutes to open the match, Quick broke through with a tally in the 28th minute to put Austin College ahead 1-0. The 'Roos would score once more in the first half, with Brandon Harner finding Chris Abad-Jacobi, who found the back of the net at the 42:00 mark to send Austin College into halftime with a two-goal lead. The Mountaineers cut the margin in half with a goal in the 54th minute, but Quick finished on an assist from Juan Ramirez just three minutes later to make it a 3-1 game, and that's how things would stay.
Austin College held a 13-10 shot advantage in the win, with Joseph Khalaf making three saves in the net for the 'Roos.
