Hughes Named SCAC Swimmer of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College men's swimmer Flyn Hughes has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week after an outstanding performance at the Hendrix Relays and Hendrix Classic last weekend, the league office has announced.

Hughes, a first-year from Dallas, won the 200 fly by 10 seconds and posted the fourth best time in the conference at the Hendrix Classic over the weekend. Hughes also had a great showing in the 200 back, where he secured a 1-2 finish for the 'Roos just five minutes after winning the 200 fly, hitting the wall in 2:10.52.
