Six From 'Roo Softball Named All-SCAC

GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference selections for the 2025 campaign, and six members of the Austin College softball team have earned recognition for their outstanding play during the year. Tori Fowler, Hailie Swiatkowski, McKinley Hankins, Reagan Brinkley, Emily Autrey, and Alexus Johnson were each named honorable mention All-SCAC picks.

Fowler, a junior outfielder from Red Oak, earned her honorable mention All-SCAC status following a season in which she batted .301 with three doubles and three triples, scoring 26 runs with four runs batted in. Fowler also led the 'Roos with 25 stolen bases, in the process establishing a new program record with 53 thefts in her two seasons with Austin College.

Swiatkowski, a senior first baseman from Munedlien, Ill., was named honorable mention All-SCAC after finishing the season with .333 batting average and a .471 slugging percentage, both career bests. Swiatkowski had six doubles and two home runs, driving in 12 runs and scoring 13. 

Hankins, a freshman pitcher from Heartland, was named honorable mention All-Conference after picking up a victory and posting a 5.06 earned-run-average in 27.2 innings of work, also earning a save in her debut campaign. Hankins made 17 appearances in the circle this year, including three starts.

Brinkley, a freshman shortstop from Valley View, earned her honorable mention All-SCAC accolades following a season in which she batted .352 with a .467 slugging percentage, adding eight doubles, two triples, and 24 runs batted in. Brinkley, also scored 17 runs and stole four bases.

Autrey, a freshman catcher from Princeton, was named honorable mention All-Conference after hitting .250 in 26 games played this year, with a .306 on-base percentage. Autrey had one double, drove in five runs, and scored twice in 32 total at-bats as the team's primary starting catcher.

Johnson, a senior pitcher from Humble, rounds out the All-SCAC recipients for 2025 as an honorable mention selection after earning three victories in the circle in 89.0 innings pitched, making 19 appearances with 15 starts. Johnson led the 'Roos with 32 strikeouts, and was also stellar at the plate, batting .536 with two triples and six RBI in 28 at-bats.
