Six From 'Roo Softball Named All-SCAC
ABILENE, Texas - Six members of the Austin College softball team have been named All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference performers, highlighted by a second team selection for Lauren Trott, following their outstanding performances during the 2026 season, the league office has announced.

Along with Trott, Tori Fowler, Reagan Brinkley, Cassidy Cantera, Cheyenne Fields, and Brooklen Crider were named honorable mention All-SCAC players in voting by the league's coaches and sports information directors.
Trott, a senior pitcher and utility player from Aubrey, was named second team All-SCAC as a DH after boasting a .380 batting average with a .392 on-base percentage and a .620 slugging percentage. She hit three home runs and added two triples, nine doubles, and 16 runs batted in, and also scored 13 times. She also picked up three wins with a 5.80 earned run average in 11 appearances and capped the season with a no-hitter.
Fowler, a senior outfielder from Red Oak, was an honorable mention All-Conference pick after finishing the year among the league leaders with 30 stolen bases, breaking her own single season program record. She also broke the program's career stolen bases record this year, and batted .253 with a .321 on-base percentage, adding two doubles, 10 RBI, and 19 runs scored.
Brinkley, a sophomore third baseman from Valley View, earned honorable mention All-SCAC recognition after batting .329 with a .355 on-base percentage and a .553 slugging percentage, hitting two home runs, three triples, and seven doubles. She also drove in 22 runs and scored seven times, adding a pair of stolen bases.
Cantera, a first-year pitcher from Houston, made 15 appearances in the circle with five starts, posting a 4-4 record on her way to being named honorable mention All-SCAC. Cantera boasted a 3.68 earned run average and a 1.37 WHIP, striking out five batters while issuing just five walks in 57 innings of work.
Fields, a first-year catcher from New Braunfels, was named honorable mention All-SCAC after appearing in 25 games behind the dish, batting .333 with a .389 on-base percentage and a .364 slugging percentage. Fields had a pair of doubles and drove in 10 runs, adding six runs scored on the year.
Crider, a first-year shortstop from Abilene, appeared in 28 games primarily in the flex spot as a defense-only player, finishing the season with a .934 fielding percentage with 47 putouts and 52 assists, helping to turn four double plays on the year. She also drove in two runs and scored one more in 24 at-bats this season.
