Bryce Frank scored 28 points and the Austin College women's basketball team shot 53.2% as a team in a 79-62 victory over Hendrix College on Sunday in the SAA/SCAC Challenge in Jackson, Mississippi. The 'Roos are now 2-1 on the year with the win.
Frank hit 13-of-18 shots in the game and also grabbed four rebounds while coming away with three steals to lead the way, as Austin College outscored Hendrix 60-42 over the final three quarters after trailing 20-19 following the first frame. Kendall Heitmeier added 12 points and Meghan Lewis scored 11 while grabbing nine rebounds and dishing out four assists.
The 'Roos hit 8-of-21 three pointers as a team, with Heitmeier and Lewis each knocking down a pair to lead the way. Ann Savage came off the bench to hit 2-of-4 threes and finished with nine points, while Kendra Railey also scored nine in the victory.
