Miller Named SCAC Defensive Player of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Austin College women's basketball player Avory Miller has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week following a pair of outstanding performances last weekend, the league office has announced.

Miller, a junior guard from McKinney, stuffed the stat sheet and was a force defensively as the 'Roos' swept Centenary and LeTourneau at home over the weekend in league play. Miller averaged 3.5 steals and 1.0 blocks, while also scoring 10.0 points, grabbing 5.5 rebounds, including 3.0 at the defensive end from her point guard position. Additionally, she handed out 5.0 assists-per-game to lift the 'Roos to 4-2 in league play this year.
