Dimitri Earns Silver to Highlight Day Three of SCAC Meet
GARLAND, Texas – The Austin College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams continued their performance at the 2026 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Friday, maintaining competitive positions as the meet moved through its third day at the Garland ISD Natatorium.

The 'Roos women concluded the day in fourth place with 238 total points. Joslyn Dimitri provided a top individual performance, winning silver in the 400-yard individual medley championship final with a time of 4:53.87. In relay action, the team of Rachel Delk, Tatyana Arizmendi, Lili Clepper and Lola Barcus-Schafer placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay, clocking in at 1:45.08. Another relay squad featuring Sophia Smith, Reese Richmond, Mikayla Arizmendi and Dimitri finished 11th in the same event with a time of 1:48.21.
Individually, Tatyana Arizmendi placed fourth in the 100-yard backstroke championship final (1:01.84), while Smith finished eighth in the same event (1:03.44). In the 100-yard breaststroke, Barcus-Schafer took 10th (1:14.97) and Mikayla Arizmendi placed 11th (1:16.99). Clepper also earned a 12th-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (1:10.55). Consolations for the backstroke saw Delk finish 11th (1:05.47) and Richmond finish 15th (1:09.68).
The Austin College men ended day three in fifth place with 276 total points. The relay team of Kamil Murugan, Owen Altermatt, Flyn Hughes and Hudson Seavers-Reale placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:28.36. A second relay squad of Carlos Camarena, Timothy Smith, David Stanford and Theodore Rogers finished 12th in the event (1:32.21).
Top individual performances for the men included Altermatt's 10th-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.83) and Timothy Smith's sixth-place finish in the 400-yard individual medley (4:30.33). Hughes placed eighth in the 100-yard butterfly championship final (52.43). In the 100-yard breaststroke, Matthew Leeworthy finished sixth (58.81) and Rogers took eighth (58.94).
Additional individual finishes for the men featured Seavers-Reale in fifth place (54.49) and Murugan in seventh (55.08) in the 100-yard backstroke championship final. JonAustin Blaine won the backstroke consolation final to place ninth overall (55.75). Stanford rounded out the men's results with a 16th-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (58.39).
The championships wrap up Saturday with the final day of competition.
