Volleyball Bested by LeTourneau
LONGVIEW, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team dropped a three set match at LeTourneau University on Saturday, falling 3-0 to its Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference foe as the Jackets take the season sweep over the 'Roos. Austin College is now 16-10 overall and 9-4 in conference play heading into the final week of the regular season.

LONGVIEW, Texas - The Austin College volleyball team dropped a three set match at LeTourneau University on Saturday, falling 3-0 to its Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference foe as the Jackets take the season sweep over the 'Roos. Austin College is now 16-10 overall and 9-4 in conference play heading into the final week of the regular season.
The Jackets scraped out a 25-23 set one win and then took the second 25-18, before the two teams battled back in forth in the third set, with LeTourneau coming out on top 27-25 to clinch the match. Samantha Graham had a team-high eight kills to lead the 'Roos, hitting .280 in the match, but Austin College hit just .118 as a team in the loss. Lindi perry and Rachel Sadler each chipped in five kills, and Madisin Hartsfield had five total blocks. Laynie Kovacs led the 'Roos with 23 digs and added four service aces, while Madison manning had 15 assists.
Austin College will be looking to bounce back and clinch its spot in the SCAC Tournament on Tuesday when they head to Shreveport to take on Centenary College, who the 'Roos previously defeated 3-0 in Hughey Gym this season.
