Four From Men's Water Polo Named All-MPSF East
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College men's water polo players Carlos Camarena, Owen Altermatt, Jordan Pomier, and Jack Stack have each been selected as All-MPSF East Division players for their outstanding performances during the 2025 regular season, the league office has announced.
SHERMAN, Texas - Austin College men's water polo players Carlos Camarena, Owen Altermatt, Jordan Pomier, and Jack Stack have each been selected as All-MPSF East Division players for their outstanding performances during the 2025 regular season, the league office has announced.
Camarena, a sophomore from Houston, was a second team All-MPSF East selection following a year in which he scored 14 goals from his center defender position, adding five assists, 15 drawn exclusions, and 12 steals in 14 games played. Camarena boasted a .304 shooting percentage on the year.
Altermatt, a first-year attacker from Boerne, was another second team All-MPSF East pick after finishing the regular season with 16 goals on 30 shot attempts for a shooting percentage of .533, adding 17 assists, 16 steals, and 10 earned exclusions in 14 games. Altermatt was also recently named the MPSF Newcomer of the Week.
Pomier, a first-year goalie from Pearland, was also picked as a second team All-MPSF East performer upon wrapping up the regular season leading the 'Roos with 47 blocks, and adding 12 steals and even scoring a goal this year in 14 appearances. Pomier also had three assists over the course of the year.
Stack, a senior attacker from Concord, Calif., was named honorable mention All-MPSF East after wrapping up the 2025 regular season with 12 goals and a team-high 34 assists, and he also paced Austin College with 30 steals in 14 games this year.
