'Roos Fall to Augustana
PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Austin College men's water polo team fell in an early hole and was unable to dig its way out on Saturday afternoon against Augustana, falling 14-8 in the MPSF Championships on the campus of Stanford University. The 'Roos fall to 8-10, and will wrap up the 2025 campaign against Penn State Behrend on Sunday morning.

The 'Roos fall to 8-10, and will wrap up the 2025 campaign against Penn State Behrend on Sunday morning.
Augustana got out to an early 5-2 lead through the opening quarter, and the margin remained three goals heading into the halftime as both teams found the back of the cage four times, making it a 9-6 game through two. Augustana managed to shut out the 'Roos in the third period to take a 10-6 lead into the final frame, where Augie outscored the 'Roos 4-2 to make it a 14-8 final.
Owen Altermatt led Austin College with four goals, adding two assists in the loss, and Matthew Leeworthy, Carlos Camarena, Aidan Wade, Jack Stack, Joshua Nelms, and Preston Fiala each tallied once. Wade added a pair of assists, and Caleb Maddox and Jordan Pomier each made six saves while splitting time in goal.
