Men's Water Polo Takes Third in MPSF East
PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Austin College men's water polo team claimed third place in the MPSF East Division at the 2025 conference championships on Sunday, as the 'Roos topped Penn State Behrend 16-9 to wrap up the season with an overall record of 9-10.

It was an even game through the opening quarter, with both teams putting three goals on the board. Aidan Wade put the 'Roos in the scoring column to open things up, and the 'Roos took a 2-0 lead when Wade found the back of the cage again before PSB battled back to even things up heading into the second.
Behrend took a 5-4 lead early in the second quarter, and the margin grew to 6-4 with 4:31 left before halftime. Sebastian Scheier and Carlos Camarena each tallied to pull Austin College even, and Scheier scored with 1:13 remaining to put the 'Roos back on top at 7-6, and that's where things stood at the break. The 'Roos put the game away in the third quarter, erupting for six goals while holding PSB scoreless, pushing it to a 13-6 contest entering the fourth, and Austin College would cruise from there for the 16-9 final.
Scheier had six goals to pace Austin College, adding a pair of assists, and Wade finished with three scores. Preston Fiala and Greyson Gaworecki each scored twice, while Owen Altermatt, Jack Stack, and Camarena each found the back of the net once. Stack also had five assists, and Altermatt added three. Jordan Pomier made 13 saves in goal for Austin College.
