13 From Women's Water Polo Earn ACWPC Academic Recognition
IRVINE, Calif. - The Association of College Water Polo Coaches, the official coaches association of NCAA and collegiate water polo coaches in the United States, unveils the Women's All-Academic Awards for the 2025 season. This esteemed recognition is a testament to the outstanding achievements of student-athletes who exemplify excellence not only in the pool but also in the classroom.
IRVINE, Calif. - The Association of College Water Polo Coaches, the official coaches association of NCAA and collegiate water polo coaches in the United States, unveils the Women's All-Academic Awards for the 2025 season. This esteemed recognition is a testament to the outstanding achievements of student-athletes who exemplify excellence not only in the pool but also in the classroom.
Among those honored were 13 members of the Austin College women's water polo team, which boasts a collective team grade-point-average of 3.24. Earning Outstanding Academic recognition were Camila Diarte, Caroline Armstrong, Morgan Evans, SJ Johnson, and Sophia King, while Gracey Kettler, Lucy Pigford, and Mikayla Arizmendi were honored in the Superior category. Rounding out the recognition were Ashley Chand, Ashlyn Thomas, Bianca Gallegos, Joslyn Dimitri, and Lexy Hulse in the Excellent Category.
To earn Outsanding honors, a student-athlete must maintain a GPA between 3.71-4.0, while the Superior category includes student-athletes with a GPA between 3.41 and 3.7. Those in the Excellent category boast a GPA between 3.2 and 3.4.
Selected from a group of remarkable candidates across various disciplines, the Academic All-Americans represent the epitome of dedication, perseverance, and scholarly prowess.
